This is Albertine, carrying the flame of a bright love that – at the moment – doesn’t have a home. “The outcome is an album heavier and more brooding than The Sticky Fingers. I experimented a lot with different singing styles. Sometimes I’m close and intimate with the microphone; other times I am belting it out. I always recorded my vocals alone, often at night, in our shared studio space in a very unattractive suburb of Berlin”
