Olivia Rodrigo follows SOUR with GUTS, again working closely with producer Dan Nigro. Written as Rodrigo moved through the final stretch of her teenage years, the album mixes energetic alternative and pop-rock with softer ballads, tackling identity, romance, fame and the expectations placed on young women. Her knack for funny, cutting lyrics comes through on ‘Vampire’, ‘Bad Idea Right?’ and ‘Get Him Back!’, while the record earned Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
